THE MOST PRECIOUS CHRISTMAS PRESENT!!

I can honestly say there has only been a very few times in my life that I have been totally surprised, but this Christmas was one I will always remember. The kids went together and bought Mike and I the most PRECIOUS gift of all times. It's a fleece blanket with the babies photos on it. It's the most vibrant and biggest photos I' ve ever seen(sorry these photos don't do it justice but you can at least get the idea). Mike and I both were brought to tears, literally we looked at each other and both of us had tears streaming down our faces. Thank you so much guys you could have never picked a better gift for us, and the neatest thing is it captures the first years of life of both Jaden and Danica. We have it mounted on our living room wall, each photo ranges from about 11X 14 some are 24x24, it's really the most amazing gift ever. It's so fun to be sitting either on the couch or in our chairs and look up and have life size photos of our beautiful grandbabies, trust me it's hard to be in a bad mood or feeling blue with those sweet little faces staring at you, it makes a smile come across your face in no time flat. Thanks again Branden, Jen, Ryan, Hannah, Jaden and Danica. WE LOVE YOU AND THANK YOU FOR THE WONDERFUL GIFT!!!!!

CHRISTMAS 2008

Christmas this year was very full and actually was spread out for about four days. Mike had to work on Christmas day so we decided to celebrate Christmas on Saturday. So our Christmas celebrating started off on Christmas day spending the morning at Ryan and Hannahs, we were invited to join them Christmas morning for a great breakfast and watching little Danica open her presents on her very First Christmas.

Christmas Eve we sat around watching Jaden and Danica play while the big kids played games and enjoyed each others company. Jaden got into his Christmas jammies (check out those cute reindeer slippers)and the playing began.

Branden and Jens friends Malcolm and Lisa came up to celebrate Christmas with us and they have a 3 month old baby, so we had the baby seat and swing out and little Jaden got tired out with all the playing and we found him lounging in the babyseat. hahaha. So off to bed we go waiting for Santa...

ANNUAL 2008 BIRTHDAY GATHERING

As most of you know because Branden, Ryan and Hannah all have birthdays in December we get together on a Saturday in December to celebrate. We try to find something fun and new to do, so this year we gathered at Bill Johnsons Bar B Que restaurant and had dinner and then we took the party to the zoo and enjoyed the "Zoolights". Wow it was amazing we had such a great time I'm not sure if it was all the lights and the amazing light displays or if it was having all of us together enjoying each other and just having fun spending the evening together. But, whatever it was we truly had a WONDERFUL time.

THANKSGIVING 2008

I've been slacking so much lately on blogging, so to make it up I hope to play catch up. We've had such a busy and fulfilling holiday season. Thanksgiving was a blast, we decided this year to celebrate it on the following Saturday. That way the kids could all come and stay and not have to hurry and rush off to the next dinner. It was very successful and I believe we will do it again on Saturday next year. Following are some photos that were taken on Thanksgiving.

Danicas Day at Grandma and Grandpas

I'm so lucky to have a job that I can make my own schedule, so by doing that I'm able to babysit Danica every Monday, I LOVE IT!!! She is such a good baby and so much fun to watch. If I have to run errands she just goes along. We went to the park, shopping, out to lunch you name it we do it. At times I just stare and watch her for hours, she's so cute and has such a personality. If your having a bad day she is an instant mood changer, she will look up at you and smile and laugh and whatever it was that was bothering soon disappears. Grandma LOVES you DANICA RAE!!!!!

Now is that not the CUTEST baby??? Look at those big eyes and that cute bow...It was windy and cold out today, so we had to put on our coat so we could go outside and watch Grandpa, he was working on our deck and she had a blast watching and jabbering to him.

Grandpa couldn't stand it anymore he had to hold her, she is such a Grandpas girl.

Phew!! It's tough being a Fire Chief...If you check out some of my older post you will find almost the exact picture but with Jaden wearing this hat. It's become a family tradition. Hahaha

In honor of Jadens birthday, Jen and Branden we just want you to know how proud we are the both of you. You are both such awesome parents, Jaden is shown so much love and care that we can only smile when we think of you and your little family. Everytime we are with you guys we come away in awe of how well you both took to parenting and loving each other. You work so well together for the common goal and that is the good of Jaden. We want you to know we love you all three and keep up the great job.

Mike feels like the luckiest Grandpa on earth, to have two Grandbabies and to live close enough to be apart of their lives and love them and watch them grow.

You know as a parent you always wish on your children to have a child just like they were, well I didn't realize that not only would they act the same, but look the same ALSO...

It was the cutest cake, he had Kung Foo Panda theme and we had Chinese Food and everything was decorated from the movie, very cute!!!!

Jaden on his Camo power quad he got from Uncle Ryan , Aunt Hannah and Cousin Danica. Branden was teaching him how to push the button to make it go, and once he figured it out. WATCH OUT!!!

Jaden is his new blue car, he was so cute honking the horn and just going around the house, it has a handle so you can push him like a stroller.
